2D Animation

Animation is a big part of life. It is something that I enjoy doing no matter how long or intricate it is or takes. A lot of my animation has been inspired by that of Adult Swim as I watch many of their shows from time to time.

I mainly love watching movies though, I like reading about how cinematographers line up shots or how a director plans the pacing of a scene. The technical aspects of that fascinate me and inspire me to do the same through my animation.

Animation Lab Teams had students team up to create an animated short for one semester. Teams were tasked to create a script, Design characters, and overall just coordinate everything with each team member. We utilized Microsoft Teams for most of our coordination and scheduling, so we could take advantage of time management and also categorize our files in the cloud. For my team, there was a total of five team members. June Brice, Eleanor Hauck, Payton Smith, Solomon Weller, and me! Riley Najera

Experimental Animation

For my experimental animation class final, I wanted to create a video of my sister cooking.
The process and tools I used are as follows. I used a Cannon EOS camera, I took 533 pictures of my sister making spaghetti. After, I used Adobe Lightroom to turn each photo black and white. I then would upload each photo onto Adobe Photoshop and individually create the images you see in the final video frame by frame using brushes.
